Ryan C. Stehr, MD, FACS

Dr. Ryan Stehr is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He attended medical school at Dartmouth Medical School before completing a plastic surgery residency at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Ryan Stehr is a Bay Area native dedicated to providing exceptional medical care both here in Fresno and abroad. Among his patients, he is known for his thorough and compassionate approach using the most up-to-date and industry-leading approaches to hand surgery.


Dr. Stehr has unique experience in the field of surgery. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand from the American Board of Surgeons for his experience and training in hand surgery.


Dr. Stehr went to medical school at Dartmouth Medical School and attended his plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert in Milwaukee. Then, he finished a prestigious hand fellowship at the Level 1 Trauma Center before joining our team at the Regional Hand Center.


Dr. Stehr has authored several publications about the most up-to-date trends and industry developments in hand surgery. Additionally, he has gained unique experience participating in medical missions abroad throughout his education and training. His most notable missions include backpacking through India to provide healthcare to rural centers and providing reconstructive surgery to cleft palate and severe burn patients at the Hospital Universitario de Santander in Bucaramanga, Colombia.


Dr. Stehr is an avid enjoyer of the outdoors and regularly hikes and takes walks with his wife and dog (a German Shepherd). Dr. Stehr also enjoys traveling and open water scuba diving, as well as skiing and snowboarding.
