Ileana Cervantes, M.S., PA-C

Ileana Cervantes obtained her Masters degree as a physician assistant through Western University of Health Sciences and is a certified physician assistant through the National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants since 2005. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Ileana grew up in Santa Maria, California and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Dominguez Hills State University. Fluent in Spanish, Ileana has training in family practice, urgent care and Workers’ Compensation injuries. She regularly attends conferences regarding hand surgery from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. She works closely with her supervising physician when providing care to patients with diverse hand injuries and assists in the operating room in complex cases.

Eric Wagoner, M.S., PA-C

Eric Wagoner obtained his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies through Loma Linda University. He is a certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has also obtained certification through an orthopedic surgery residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in southern California focusing on acute trauma and management of common orthopedic conditions. Born in Modesto, California, Eric earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Human Factors and Mechanical Engineering through the United States Military Academy at West Point continuing on to serve as an officer in the United States Army Infantry for eight years. He has continued his medical education to further specialize in disorders of the upper extremity through conferences and current journals. He works closely with his supervising physician as a team in order to provide optimal and timely care for all patients in the operating room and in clinic. He is married and enjoys a variety of sports including triathlons, swimming, biking, tennis and volleyball, as well as a practicing hobbyist carpenter.

Evan Mangubat, M.S., PA-C

Evan “Evie” Mangubat earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Medical Sciences from the University of California Riverside, Riverside, California and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences, Whittier, California.  She completed a one-year professional study in medicine at China Medical University, Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. Evie earned her EMT-B certificate from Moreno Valley College, Moreno Valley, California, and worked as an EMT providing emergency medical aid before joining Regional Hand Center.

Evie evaluates emergency injuries,  performs patient post-operative and follow-up encounters in our clinics, and provides first-assist in our surgery center. She possesses a strong commitment to her profession, regularly preparing and presenting continuing education on diagnosing and treating hand and upper extremity conditions to her peers.

Evie enjoys spending time with her patients.  She will prioritize your comfort, provide you with the confidence required to make informed decisions, answer any questions you may have about treatment and recovery, and ensure that you’re receiving the best possible care.

Outside of work, Evie enjoys riding her motorcycle, hiking, exploring nature, and spending time with her friends.

Hannah Boomgarden, M.S., PA-C

Hannah Boomgarden was raised in Atlanta, Georgia as a second-generation Physician Assistant after her father, a PA in orthopedic surgery.

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She then obtained her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

Hannah initially practiced at a busy level-one trauma center in reconstructive plastic surgery. She now works closely with our supervising surgeons at Regional Hand Center to provide care for patients with a wide variety of hand and upper extremity disorders in our clinics and operating rooms.

Hannah exhibits a cheerful attitude while providing patient-centered care. As her patient, you will gain a solid understanding of the pathophysiology behind your upper extremity complaint(s) and a thorough review of what your treatment plan will entail.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys hiking, motorcycling, playing music, and traveling.
