Kia Cody obtained her Doctor of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She completed a one-year fellowship at a level-1 trauma center, specializing in trauma and acute care surgery. Prior to working in hand surgery, she specialized in trauma, thoracic, general, and acute care surgery.
Kia and her husband are active members of the community and enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and ski patrolling.
